Day-to-Day Work

Department Views

Two workspace-style views under Departments — the Issues one shares My Issues' full feature set, the Tasks one is a simple flat list. Neither filters by department today.

GreenVee has two views under Departments in the sidebar: Department Issues (/departments/issues) and Department Tasks (/departments/tasks). Despite the name, neither view currently filters by department — both show data for every project and every person in the system.

/departments/issues shows every Issue in GreenVee, across all projects and all assignees. It uses the same underlying view system as My Issues — so you get the full feature set:

  • Multiple named, savable workspaces (tabs) with their own grouping, sorting, and column choices
  • Group by none, State, Assignee, Priority, Label, Project, or Department
  • List or Board (Kanban) visual layout
  • Configurable columns (state, due date, assignee, creator, priority, cycle, labels, department, project, parent issue, created/updated dates)

Because there’s no automatic department filter, if you want to see only your team’s Issues, use the Group by Department option to at least cluster the full list by team. Condition-based filtering isn’t wired up on this view yet (the same is true on My Issues — see My Issues, My Tasks & Inbox), so grouping is currently your best tool for narrowing focus here.

/departments/tasks shows every Task in GreenVee, across all projects and all assigned Project Members. Unlike Department Issues, this is a plain, simple table — it does not use the workspace system, so there is no grouping, no board view, no saved views, and no filtering.

Column What it shows
Designation The Task name
Project Which project the Task belongs to
Segment Which project segment the Task belongs to
Task Package The task package the Task is grouped under, if any
My Role Whether you are the assignee, a participant, or neither
Planned Start / Start Scheduled vs. actual start date
Planned End / End Scheduled vs. actual end date
State Open or Done

Rows are sorted by planned start date. Double-click a row to open its details; right-click for a Details/Delete menu.

  • Scan everything at once — both views are a convenient way to see the entire Issue or Task backlog without opening each project individually
  • Edit directly — any user with access to these routes can update state, priority, assignee, and other fields on any row; there is no role-based restriction limiting who can edit what here
  • Open details — click through to an Issue or Task to see its full record
