Resource Unavailability
How GreenVee tracks employee absences and equipment downtime, and how they show up alongside bookings on the Gantt.
Resource Unavailability marks out time when an employee or a piece of equipment cannot be booked. It comes in two kinds — Employee Unavailability and Equipment Unavailability — shown together on the Resource Unavailability page, one tab per resource type.
Employee Unavailability
Section titled “Employee Unavailability”Blocks out a period when an employee is not available for work.
| Field | What it stores |
|---|---|
| Employee | The person who is unavailable |
| Start / End | When the unavailability begins and ends |
| Kind | vacation, sick, or dayoff |
Equipment Unavailability
Section titled “Equipment Unavailability”Blocks out a period when a piece of equipment cannot be used.
| Field | What it stores |
|---|---|
| Equipment | The item that is unavailable |
| Start / End | When the unavailability begins and ends |
| Kind | maintenance, breakdown, or reserved |
Where it shows up
Section titled “Where it shows up”Both kinds of unavailability appear directly on the Gantt view alongside the employee or piece of equipment they belong to, so a full-day vacation or a maintenance window is visible right next to any bookings. On the Resource Unavailability page, entries can be grouped, sorted, filtered, and viewed over a week or month range.
