Insights & KPIs

Numbers on a project are only useful if you can see them without digging through every task, cost entry, and risk by hand. GreenVee does that rollup for you with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) — a library of ready-made metrics like Task Completion Rate, Budget Variance, or Project Profit that update on their own as the underlying work changes.

Where you see KPIs

KPIs show up as cards, gauges, and charts (widgets) arranged on a grid, called a Scoreboard. Every level of the work hierarchy has one:

The idea in one paragraph

A KPI is a single named metric — a count, a percentage, a money amount, a ratio — computed from the records underneath it (tasks, costs, risks, orders, and so on). GreenVee ships a large library of these, covering process (task/gate/milestone progress), budget, economic benefit, resource, quality, strategy, and risk. You add the ones you care about to a project’s, program’s, portfolio’s, or the organization’s Scoreboard as widgets, choosing how each one is displayed — a single number, a gauge, a trend line, a bar chart, a pie chart, or a treemap. Behind the scenes, GreenVee keeps these values current automatically: when something changes, the affected KPIs recompute and the Scoreboard updates without you refreshing the page.
